It is being honored by the Maison Daum, as they celebrate the Year of the Wood Dragon in 2024. The Dragon 8 in red is a limited edition of 88 pieces. The number 8 is considered a lucky charm synonymous with success, and is associated with the color red, which is a symbol of good fortune. Made of red crystal with gold particles “rouge à l’or”, this piece highlights the dragon's nobility. According to Chinese tradition, the dragon's pearl is a symbol of perfection.
The Year of the Dragon began on February 10, 2024, and the dragon of wood is known for being reflective, curious, and oriented towards others. As the fifth animal in the Chinese zodiac, the dragon is considered a protective and benevolent creature, especially for the emperor. The number 8 is also associated with light, representing the reflection of the sun high up in the sky.
