【Bernardaud – Votivelight 】

薄胎瓷（Lithophane）是一項源於1828年、由法國利摩日的 Charles de Bourgoing 發明的傳統工藝，以極薄、未上釉的瓷胎雕刻出細緻圖案。Bernardaud 於1990年代重新演繹此技法，創作出如艾菲爾鐵塔等迷人景致與經典小型雕刻球體，廣受全球喜愛。燭光穿透立體雕刻的薄瓷，明暗對比間展現出豐富細節，帶來詩意而溫暖的光影之美。

Lithophane is a traditional technique of engraving on a fine unglazed porcelain bisque, invented by Charles de Bourgoing in Limoges in 1828. Bernardaud brought this technique up to date in the 1990s, creating charming landscapes, as the Eiffel Tower, and scenes on small engraved globes, which have become iconic objects, known and appreciated the world over. The glow of the candle shines through the raised and carved surface of the votive, contrasting light against shadow and thus revealing its richly detailed design.
