Known as the Jewel of the Orient, this tropical fish native to Southeast Asia possesses a captivating beauty with??its vibrant colours and long flowing fins. Crowned as one of the most beautiful fishes in the world, the Daum craftsmen pay tribute to this stunning animal and reveal a masterpiece that required almost 500 hours to develop. The hands of the skilled artisans sculpt in meticulous and impeccable detail, the softness and particularity of the fanned tail. Emerging from the algae, the two bettas commence a fight for dominance. The two opponents adapt their actions to match the posture of the other, displaying a threatening behaviour. This mirroring movement in turn becomes a graceful, synchronized dance of the two fighter fishes.
In a limited edition of 99, this exquisite work of art sits on a base in varnished patinated bronze.
